In April 2021, the EU has updated the list of standards to be used as the test methods for demonstratingthe compliance with nickel release under REACH Annex XVII Entry 27. This revised list contains three European Standards, including EN 12472:2020 “Method for the simulation of wear and corrosion forthe detection of nickel release from coated items”.
